Nathaniel O’Donnelly likes his life quiet, his guests happy, and his ghosts well-behaved.

Although a boyfriend wouldn’t go amiss. Someone to share his beautiful B&B with, even if it is in the middle of nowhere and he’s long past the wrong side of thirty. Problem is, Nathaniel's living with a ghost who thinks he’s cupid, and whose arrows fly a little too straight.

Gabriel Wickfield had the unfortunate luck of dying before his time, and now he’s stuck trying to make romance happen to earn his right to move along. Not that he’s bored in the meantime--Nathaniel is just too easy to tease. And also a little bit scrumptious…

With the curse reaching its expiration date, Gabriel needs to make a final match this Christmas. Without it, nothing but darkness awaits.

Love can conquer all, but can it beat death?

I knew going into this I was going to cry. I knew because 1, Indra Vaughn prides herself on her ability to master unrequited love. 2, one of the MC’s is dead. Right from the start, it’s not a spoiler it’s in the blurb. I was like, “How the heck is this going to be a happily ever after?” I won’t tell you if it is or isn’t… I will say I hate sad ending and this book I did not hate… I WON’T TELL YOU… leave me alone!

Nathaniel and Gabriel are splendid. Truly. Two remarkable men from different times having so much in common. One physically trapped, the other internally. I love how Indra made the impossible possible. This was a true tale of love conquering all and warmed my heart and my soul!

Read so you can feel. Because some books will flay you with words, while others will caress your skin. Some, if you’re lucky, will do both at the same time.
Read because you have too much on your plate. Or not enough. Read because you can’t think of anything else to do. Read because you don’t want to do all the things you should.
Read what you want. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. Words are words and books are books and what you feel is real.

Read to remember. Read to forget. Read because it brings you quiet or because it gives you a voice. Read to revisit places you’ve already been. Or discover countries you’ve never heard of. Read because you’re lonely. Read because you need to be alone.
Read because it will make you smarter. It will teach you compassion and empathy and love. Read because you’re too smart and you can’t stop thinking. And thinking. And thinking.

If nothing else, read so the poor authors can keep hurtling themselves into their writing, in the deep of the night when nothing else can be heard but the sound of their despair tap-tapping away at the keyboard. In between wiping chocolate-sticky fingers on their pants, that is—if they’re even wearing any.
